Joseph an ex Royal Navy Support vessel

We are pleased to auction this piece of Royal Navy History, Joseph is registered on the Historic Ships Register Certificate Number 2772. On inital inspection it is easy to see the quality of this Admiralty built ship. We are informed that all the electric items onboard are in working order as it has the Gardner 8 cylinder marine engine and gearbox. Sadly the weather has taken its toll some of the above waterline planking will have to replaced where the ship rises and falls on the tide, the  rudder will have to be repaired along with the stanchions port and starboard. With a little TLC this ship will be ready for sea as a shining light to Royal Navy History or a fabulous live-on-board blue water cruiser.

MFV140 JOSEPH was built as an Admiralty Motor Fishing Vessel in 1946 by Kris Cruisers Limited of Isleworth. She was originally with the Royal Navy Port Auxiliary Service in the Clyde and Western Isles area. In 1981 or 1982 she was allocated to the London Division of the Royal Naval Reserve. After decommissioning in 1988 she passed into private ownership and was bought by her present owners in 2013 and is currently undergoing renovation in Bristol Floating Harbour.

Marine Chattels

This covers a wide range of items which are found aboard a vessel when it comes to us for auction. We have sold under the title of Marine Chattels maps, lanterns, a host of outboard and inboard engines, surfboards, wetsuits and most recently a collection of bicycles. So Marine Chattels are not necessarily marine related.
